                                                          My Learning Was Lit                                         allusion- author reverse what he wants the reader to know                              plot- a way a story is designed to go in an order                             theme -central message of a story                           diction -words author choose to tell a story                          syntax - the way the author puts the words                          in/direct characterization- a way the author describes a character  that does not change                           static/dynamic characters - a way the author describes a character that does change                            symbolism - an image that is used to show something                             synecdoche- a way that words can be said or written that can mean two things                              metaphor -  a way that an author uses the figure of speech to say something
